What I am trying to say here is, its not always the right choice to move into the t14, or otherwise.

Also, as has been reiterated on this website, and in this particular thread, this is anecdotal advice so probably not even important.
That's an interesting perspective. I didn't think anyone would bother going through the transfer application process and then turn down higher ranked schools.

I have family near the T14, so I moved in with them. Savings and money I earned during law school (mostly from my summer associateship) covered tuition. Tuition was also significantly lower back then. I didn't have any scholarships.

What is the point of this post? Just telling us for fun? Lol
To show that there is another side to all of this. Even if you plan on transferring going in, you might be surprised how much changes, and despite what you hear on TLS, you might be surprised about the opportunities afforded to you at the top of your class at T2, T3, and T4 schools.

I actually just transferred from a T4 and applying to jobs now. First Im wondering whether its too late to mass mail? Second, do you think I can still have hopes to get a job now or should I wait to have grades from my new school? Third, what firms would you recommend for me to send my resume to? Ive been contacting those ranked on the 60s because I doubt anything higher would take me. Should I also send a CL to each one?

Thanks!!
I don't have experience with mass mailing but your 1L grades should be fine. You can always send updated grades.

Did you miss OCI at your new school?
