Anyone heard of this working at Lower T1/T2? I think the school has erred. Definitely meet the transfer gpa by a long shot. School allows for appeal but under extreme circumstances if new info. is present. Don't have much new info. Should I give shot?
Any success stories?

Sounds like a waste of time. They're just going to tell you that it's a holistic process and GPA is only one part of the formula. But it's your time.

Even if they did make a mistake, unless they are hard up for students, it seems unlikely that they would admit to the mistake by changing their decision.lawman84 wrote:Sounds like a waste of time. Re: Appeal transfer
To be clear, you're trying to transfer into lower T1/T2? And the school advertises that it has an appeals process for transfers? Well, then - sure, why not? I'd think "new info" could include telling them that you got into
- , but really want to transfer to this school for compelling reasons and it's your first choice, etc. - if that's the case, sure, maybe it's worth a shot, though probably still pretty slim. Throw in any law review, moot court, etc. acceptances or CALIs, etc. that weren't in your original app.
Also, just in case - I would absolutely not bring the attitude, "my GPA was higher than your 509 transfer GPA so I'm entitled to transfer" - first, that's not true, and second, you'll get better results by being deferential. Let us know how it turns out.

Re: Appeal transfer
OP here. Failed in the process. Anyone
thinking of doing this PM and I can offer what I did and how to handle it. Just know, chances are slim to nothing.
