TRYING TO TRANSFER FROM TOURO TO FORDHAM
I am in the Top 3% at Touro with a cum of 3.882, and I have been invited to Law Review. I have also been invited to compete in Moot Court. My career goals are to practice in NYC and practice international law/business trade. I am really interested in Fordham and praying that I get in. Does anyone know of people who have transferred from Touro to Fordham, or any other prestigious school?
"Thank you everyone. I applied to NYLS, Cardozo, St. Johns, and Brooklyn. Brooklyn rejected me two years in a row, but I'm alright with that. I have been communicating with the admissions office at Fordham for months now, that is why interested I am in going there."
So I just got into Cardozo, and I am still waiting for Fordham. I am happy with my acceptance. I get to participate in the law review competition and I can participate in OCI. I need someone to really compare and contrast the benefits (in/outs) that only students from Fordham and Cardozo would know.

The 509 for Fordham says that they took two students from Touro last year as transfer students, if that helps at all.

If you look at the 509 from last year, Fordham took two from Touro. Although it's not guaranteed (or even a probability), Top 3% at least gives you a shot of being accepted. Unlike a lot of transfer threads, I think you'll be advised to transfer regardless of circumstances (i.e., scholarship, LR, etc.). Touro cannot take care of its Top 10%, which most T1 and T2 are able to at least confidently offer. I'd transfer no matter what. Have you applied to any other schools? Best of luck!bdadon wrote:I am in the Top 3% at Touro with a cum of 3.882, and I have been invited to Law Review. I have also been invited to compete in Moot Court. I was genuinely proud of myself for being able to actually answer a question in this forum rather than just asking them! Ha ha ha. It also looks like Fordham took two students from Touro in 2014 as well. For what it is worth, of course, since we don't know their individual stats.lawadmin wrote:Scooped!the-american-guy wrote:The 509 for Fordham says that they took two students from Touro last year as transfer students, if that helps at all.

You cannot participate in EIW/OCI with large employers at Fordham. Just make sure you consider that...bdadon wrote:lawadmin wrote:If you look at the 509 from last year, Fordham took two from Touro.
