Transfer or Stay? Advice please.
Hi, I'm top 15% at BU/BC. Want NYC big law, Boston would also be great.
Money not an issue, paying sticker anyway. Should I stay or transfer, for example, to Michigan? NYU? or even GULC?

You're in a good position to land a biglaw job by being in the top 15% or so, so no need to transfer for that alone. If costs are comparable, then decide based on where, geographically, you want to work.

Yeah I figured but since BU is T20 and BC is T30 and you can't be at both...bigappleherewego wrote:Boston University/Boston College, I suppose.heregoeseverything wrote:What do you mean BU/BC?

From what I've read here, they are treated as peer schools at TLSheregoeseverything wrote:Yeah I figured but since BU is T20 and BC is T30 and you can't be at both...bigappleherewego wrote:Boston University/Boston College, I suppose.heregoeseverything wrote:What do you mean BU/BC?

Ah I mean I get that sort of, but for transferring I'd give different advice depending on where you are at .. Especially b/c BU it is easier to move outside New England, but if goal is NY than at BC you are all set in Boston and NY so I don't see a huge need to transfer. Also depends on how BU/BC run OCI ...

They are peer schools. Usnwr is absolutely meaningless. Bc/bu are used interchangeably because their placement data are nearly identical.

Say with my grades, I get into Michigan or even NYU, would doing OCI at these schools boost my chances of landing a NYC biglaw comparing to my current school bu/bc (lol, still gonna use this term)?Clearly wrote:They are peer schools.
