Law Review & Journals and Transferring

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Jun 02, 2016 1:16 pm

So I may behind the ball on this but what is the deal with law review and journals and transferring? If you know your transferring do you write for your old school journals competition and try to do law review as well?

Also do most transfer schools allow you to write on law review as a transfer? When exactly is law review and how do I go about it as a transfer?

Most allow you to attempt it, but it varies on when the competition is. Harvard, for example, requires that you do the competition at the same time as current students (thus before admission), and that is already past.

Some, however, have separate transfer write-ons. It really depends on the school.

If you get into a top 14 or even a top 20 firms tend to be less concerned about whether or not they are on journal. Journal actually sucks and if you could get out of it I would.
