Cooley (FL) --> ???
My friend went to Cooley–FL (I know) and ended up top 2-3% after 1L. To where can or should s/he realistically transfer?
Info: wants to work at a firm (not necessarily big law), wants to work in FL (lifelong FL ties), 1 year WE/humanities UG, non-AA URM.

Unnecessary and incorrect insinuations aside, that's what I figured and advised. Do you think she'd be treated differently as a transfer at UF vs. GULC when applying to various firms in FL?

Jesus not GULC. The Florida state schools recommendation was good though.

Do you think there's a difference between UF or FSU for firm hiring? I know there's a lot of self-selection in Tallahassee, but is that sufficient to change hiring practices and make UF the better choice?

That's fair--I just figured people looked at posting history when answering questions (this sounds passive aggressive, but I assure you it's not). Good info about UF, though. I haven't followed news about FL schools and with the lack of employment data on transfers at UF or GULC, it's hard to argue for GULC without biglaw or non-FL aspirations.
