The reason of transfer is important?
I want to transfer to a West Coast law school because I want to do new biz dev or VC, not traditional law firm jobs. Would this reason hurt my chances of transferring? I have a business consulting WE prior to law school.

I doubt it. Although, I think many on TLS would have cautioned against going to law school with those goals and would now caution against possibly paying sticker (if you transfer) at a school with those goals.

Unless you're transferring to Stanford, you're not going to be able to find a biz dev/VC job that pays enough to cover your loans.
