Re: NYU Transfer 2016
I really think this is pretty outrageous. To except someone to wait until mid August for a decision.

If you don't hear back by OCI deadline, one would assume you didn't get in. It might take until mid August for them to get around to sending the official rejection.

Yea can anyone recently accepted confirm the dates when transfers can bid for OCI. I believe it is the first week of August. Thanks.Tala29 wrote:Thanks! If we have not received ding letter, I'm guessing they are still deciding? Or is all hope lost?

Did you ask for an expedited decision?Tala29 wrote:Also email ding. I am pretty bummed, but Michigan it is (should not complain!)
I think there is still hope. Transfer orientation isn't until August 8th and Early Interview week is August 10 - 12.qds6HVzD wrote:If we have not received ding letter, I'm guessing they are still deciding? Or is all hope lost?

Re: NYU Transfer 2016
My status checker changed to "decision letter sent" on Fri (July 15), but I cannot access the admitted students website and have not received a phone call (also no email ding).
Does NYU send rejection letters via snail mail? Kinda sitting in limbo here and am unsure what to think. Just want to keep my expectations in check.

May I know when did you go complete? How many "UR" you've had before turning to "DLS"?ChicagoCubs5 wrote:My status checker changed to "decision letter sent" on Fri (July 15), but I cannot access the admitted students website and have not received a phone call (also no email ding).

According to last year's thread, they send rejections via e-mail. Have you tried to access the admitted students site today? Have you checked your spam?ChicagoCubs5 wrote:My status checker changed to "decision letter sent" on Fri (July 15), but I cannot access the admitted students website and have not received a phone call (also no email ding).

Under review update again today (7/18 for the transfers of the future).
Q: What does it all mean?
A: Probably nothing.

I went complete on 6/28. Had two UR's (one on 7/5 and the next on 7/6). DLS on 7/15.

I just tried now and had no luck (maybe I'm doing it wrong?). I'd like to think I have minimal competence..fistfullofdollhairs wrote:According to last year's thread, they send rejections via e-mail. Also (thoroughly) checked spam and see nothing. Maybe I'll just need to wait for the letter. Personally, I would appreciate a quick ding via email than a prolonged, snail mail rejection...

No UR update since 6/22. Anyone think my app may have been lost in the weeds? Seems like everyone is having UR updates (whether they mean anything or not).

Re: NYU Transfer 2016
No update since 6/30. Honestly don't really even care anymore since it's fairly late and I've been into Berkeley for over a month now, and I have began OCI process and rented an apartment, so I'm not going to NYU even if I get in.

Re: NYU Transfer 2016
I called admissions this morning, the guy said they hadn't made a decision yet either way and that it was still actively under review, so if we haven't had a ding yet its good news, because at least we're still in the running!
The guy told me that it must have meant that my app was very strong if a decision rendered was not yet noted in the system at this point in time and that it was not an indication that I had been denied admission.
Crossing fingers for good news soon!

This cycle seems to be slower than last year. Last year, a bulk of admits came in btw 13 - 17.qds6HVzD wrote:Let's hope for some decisions today!

We are in a similar situation. Mine changed to DLS on Thurs (July 14) but can't access the admitted students website and no phone call.ChicagoCubs5 wrote:I just tried now and had no luck (maybe I'm doing it wrong?). I spent far too much time yesterday going through the old threads to try to read the tea leaves. I have no idea what's going on.bigappleherewego wrote:This cycle seems to be slower than last year. Last year, a bulk of admits came in btw 13 - 17.qds6HVzD wrote:Let's hope for some decisions today!
