Go for it. HS probably won't happen but you have a non-zero chance with your current GPA and class rank. You can apply to Y but they're very picky with transfers.

Exactly. Worst case scenario, you spent money on the application fee and got a "no." But at least there isn't any question in your mind whether or not you could have gotten in. Both are long shots but a strong enough application might get you in. As for Yale, if you want to apply, the same logic applies.(worst you can get is a "no") But your chances at Yale are pretty close to 0%. They take very few transfers outside of the t14.
(Just to clarify: I'm not using "you" in this post to refer to the poster that I am quoting. I am assuming he is not the OP.)
