Any idea what GPA/Rank = >50% chance at H?

Also, do 1L SAs at competitive firms (top firm in non-NY Major Market) increase your chance or are they irrelevant from a transfer perspective?

Hard to say for sure but I'd say top 15%, you're looking at an above 50% chance. Top 10%, you're in.

Probably top 10% for a >50% chance. HLS gets lots of applicants from the lower-T14.

This will give you a boost in exactly zero situations. Not even during 2L OCI will your screener care too much about it, let alone a law school who has no reason to accept you but for dat tuition $$$

That's strange. I assumed that in accepting transfer students, law schools care about what your future prospects are and how you will reflect on the school in the future. Since someone with a non-diversity 1L SA at a top firm in a major market is essentially a shoe-in for BigLaw, law schools would be more inclined to accept him since they will have an almost guaranteed placement at a top firm in a major market. From a transfer perspective, #1 at X school who doesn't get BigLaw is worst than #50 at X school who does.

What exactly do they care about then? I can't imagine it being grades since they are irrelevant from a ranking perspective... As for money, all transfers pay the same thing (unless they get need-based aid, which I won't). There has to be some objective

They care about a candidates ability to compete in coursework, contribute a unique perspective, and make the law school community a more well-rounded place. These things are gleaned through 1L grades, unique experiences on a resume, and the personal statement. A law firm is the least unique thing you can have when you're applying to a place like HLS, who literally hundreds of students pursuing the same path already.
