Transfer Chances?

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Feb 18, 2016 9:25 pm

My fall gpa is a 3.90, class rank top 10%. Current school is ranked in the 30's. I'm most interested in Boalt, Stanford or Harvard. How does it look?

If you stay where you are, I think you're in at Boalt. You're on the borderline for Stanford and Harvard.(I'd say you're more likely to get dinged than accepted...but not by much) If you're at a Cali school, you'll get a bump for Stanford.

But I'm assuming top 10% is an estimated class rank. If you are actually right around 10%, I'd say that lowers your chances quite a bit at H and S.

Thanks for the reply, that gives me some hope. To be more precise, I think its more like top 8-9%. And yes, it is a California school.

Keep it up in the second semester. You keep your GPA in the 3.9s and you'll have a shot at H and S. No guarantee but a shot.

I'd expect you to be in at Boalt if you stay in that range.
