t14 transfer chance
What are my odds at t14? I'm at a state school in the 55-65 range. 1st semester I ended up just inside top 10%. Ugpa 3.00. LSAT 155.

Not great. You have an outside shot at GULC cuz of their large class. You need to improve that GPA for a decent chance.

Too late to change my undergrad gpa now. It was engineering if that makes a difference.

Very good shot at Northwestern, I think.

Undergrad gps or LSAT will not effect transferAnonymous User wrote:Too late to change my undergrad gpa now. It was engineering if that makes a difference.

ya...I wasn't referring to your UGPA. I know it's the only one listed, but I assumed it'd be clear that I was referring to whatever GPA you have that led to your top 10% class rankAnonymous User wrote:Too late to change my undergrad gpa now. It was engineering if that makes a difference.
Although if you are an engineer, I think that's a very soft boost in your favor. It helps w/ employability, which schools care about for transfers. The type of engineering you studied might matter as well

You have what, 3-4 grades so far? Apply EA to gulc now, and see if you can improve for the rest later

I think you actually have a decent shot at GULC and potentially higher even if you just maintain your current position. Someone from my TTT got into GULC from outside the top 10% without significant softs

Re: t14 transfer chance
GULC is probably a very solid option. I got into GULC from TTTT, was top 10% of my class, and had decent extracurricular involvement. I also had a slightly higher LSAT and a slightly lower UGPA than you have, for whatever that's worth. I'd do the early application right now, and then if you do well in the spring you can try to apply to other t14 schools while knowing what's going on with GULC (hopefully a safety net, of sorts).
