Are professors usually required to tell the law school administration they've been asked to write a letter for a student looking to transfer?
I have this idea in my head that they do, and that the school would intentionally mark my spring grades down so that I can't transfer.. Crazy, but I keep thinking about it.
Anyway, are professors required to tell that they've been asked?

Re: Transfer LoRs
That is really paranoid. No, the school isn't going to mark down your grades so you can't transfer. They don't care enough to commit fraud.
But no, I can't see profs being required to tell anyone they're writing a letter for someone who wants to transfer.

Re: Transfer LoRs
Yiour paranoia is justified. I asked a couple profs for LoRs 2 weeks ago... last week, i get an email from the dean saying how he wants me to go to lunch with some partners at local biglaw firms...
Told the profs i want to transfer b/c i want biglaw..
then get email about meeting biglaw partners..
suspiciou
