Top 1/3 at GULC. 1/3 scholarship. Any value gained or even possibility of transferring?

OP here
Mostly considering a move to Chicago for the benefit of SO being closer to family. Would top 1/3 be enough for ED U Chicago? What would it take to regular transfer? What about NW? Would a transfer to one of those schools + SO be a strong enough argument to establish connections to Chicago at OCI?

Moving for a fiance is a good why Chicago answer IMO, but I wouldn't say "girlfriend/boyfriend" in an interview personally.

hi lolNoDayButToday wrote:We had a number of GULC transfers to NYU--also a handful of Cornell, Duke, Northwestern, and Michigan. Most were either from New York and wanted to be closer to home, or transferred because they wanted to expand their access to the NYC market. That's probably a good reason to consider transferring. I think all of them that were going for firm jobs were successful at early interview week.
Very few downsides to transferring up to HYS, I'm guessing, if you get in.
