Cardozo 1L, drop out now with W's or try to transfer?

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Oct 21, 2015 4:59 pm

I honestly wish I had found this board before I decided to go to Cardozo rather than retake the LSAT.

Now that I have a realistic idea of what it takes to get into biglaw from my school, I am trying to decide the best path to get somewhere else. I understand the transfer game is very difficult, as getting top 15% or better is very arbitrary.

I am going on a full scholarship, but obviously I would be responsible for tuition if I withdrew at this point, but would taking a fist full of W's and retaking the LSAT look better than continuing and seeing if I can get top 15% and transfer?

Get great grades, meet a professor who will write a smashing letter of rec, and then transfer.

Do you get to keep your full tuition scholarship regardless of your grades? Idk anything about re-applying after dropping out, but I don't think graduating Cardozzo with $0 in tuition debt is horrible.
