I hope the entire class leaves. Is that asking too much?

Re: Wustl transfers out
Is there a reason why you're all leaving? I originally wanted to go to WUSTL for a year and transfer out too but I'm surprised so many of you planned to do that too.

Let us assume all top 10% of wustl will transfer out. The number is 26... Wait and see.

Let's just say that it's somewhere that I won't be getting into. I just needed to assure myself that I at least tried.chuckbass wrote:Where where?Jmart082 wrote:Put in just one hail mary app. We'll see what happens with that.

The thing is, it's not the top 10% transferring out. It's very easy to transfer up from WUSTL, and more useful for those outside of the top 10%.lester6215 wrote:Let us assume all top 10% of wustl will transfer out. The number is 26... Wait and see.

Yeah and fwiw, while a lot of people are on big $$$ at WUSTL, more than you think aren't, so if you're gonna have big debt regardless if you're below top ~10% it may be a good idea to move up and get the lottery OCI the T14s give you.sublime wrote:chuckbass wrote:The thing is, it's not the top 10% transferring out. Yea, that's where it makes the least sense, unless (maybe) you have no/little scholarship at WashU and have special circumstances which you think H will get you something you couldn't otherwise or will die if you don't work in Chicago.

If you're in the top 10% you prefer preselect to lottery. Plus you're automatically on law review.chuckbass wrote:Yeah and fwiw, while a lot of people are on big $$$ at WUSTL, more than you think aren't, so if you're gonna have big debt regardless if you're below top ~10% it may be a good idea to move up and get the lottery OCI the T14s give you.sublime wrote:chuckbass wrote:The thing is, it's not the top 10% transferring out. Re: Wustl transfers out
Yeah, that's why I said below top 10%. It seems like some people that transferred up with top 10%+ grades last year got less interviews through the lotteries.hoos89 wrote:If you're in the top 10% you prefer preselect to lottery. Re: Wustl transfers out
I'd think a preselect system has its advantages for people who are top 20% of your class. Anything lower might be more of a crapshot. Unless they're trading up to a T6 (which I see a few of in the transfer forum) or HYS, doing WUSTL -> lower T14 probably won't bump your chances by much.

Re: Wustl transfers out
The 1L behavior at WUSTL, while hilarious to the outsider, is appalling and reminds one of the cutthroat horror stories you usually only hear about at TTTTs. Now I see why so many of you are leaving, more power to you.
