First in class, 4.07 GPA, T3 in New England: chances at T14 transfer?
Just testing the waters to see what others might think, but I'm at a T3 ranked in the mid 80s with a 4.07 GPA as the subject indicates. I have 3 years of paralegal experience after undergrad.
Whatever considerations others might be willing to offer would be much appreciated.

Depends on your rank and the location of your school.

Isn't a school ranked in the 80s a Tier 2 school? I don't know the tier system well so pardon my ignorance but I thought the second tier was 51 to 100.
But if your school is ranked in the 80s and your the #1 ranked student there, I'd say you have a very strong shot at a top 14 school. You likely can get into one or more of CCN.

Worth it to shoot an app to H, CLS, and NYU, I would say. You'd probably get into Penn. You'd definitely get into GULC, but not sure I'd leave.

Depending on your rank, you have a great shot and will almost certaintly get a few T14 acceptances. The deadlines for some schools have passed, however, so I would apply as soon as possible.

OP here: The tentative plan right now is aim for Big Law with an eye towards perhaps clerking immediately after graduation/shortly thereafter. What gives me pause though is the full scholarship and very close relationships with professors I have at school here. I know both of those would have to be forfeited for the most part.

Does your school ever have federal clerks? What is OCI like at your school? Do your profs have connections with any judges (district court, First Circuit, wherever?),Anonymous User wrote:OP here: The tentative plan right now is aim for Big Law with an eye towards perhaps clerking immediately after graduation/shortly thereafter. If you just want biglaw I figure you'll get it given your number 1 ranking, not sure transferring would be worth it
