Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

I am at a t-20 school, but seriously do not like it here. The reasons I want to transfer are mainly personal / geographic reasons.

Unfortunately, I am below median after first semester. I will have to do considerably better to put myself in a position to transfer up to a more desirable school (desirable geographically for me anyway).

If I am unable to improve my standing after this coming round of exams, is my chance of transferring hopeless? I would even considering transferring down a few spots. If it matters I attended a top-10 USNWR undergraduate school and am a URM.

What if you don't like it at the school you transfer to?
