I'm at a top 30 law school and looking to go elsewhere. The city and school don't line up with what I expected. I scored at the 40th percentile in the fall semester and hope to do better this semester (as we all do, I imagine).
My range of schools are as follows:
Reach (should be read as "lol probably no chance"):
Columbia
NYU
Berkeley
Target:
Georgetown (EA)
UT Austin
UCLA
Fall back (hopefully):
GWU
Does anyone have thoughts, opinions, or insights which might help? Or am I stuck here forever? Thanks for your help.

Re: Transfer advice
Look over the 509 disclosures from the schools that you listed. Can be found here http://www.abarequireddisclosures.org/
Look to the schools from which they took transfers (last page) and the gpa range of transfers. None of this is dispositive but will help you answer some of your questions.
I'd guess you can make some movement within the t30-14 range but probably not a t14. Maybe GULC EA but I'm not familiar with their cycles.

Re: Transfer advice
Be wary of moving up with grades that are merely above average. Not everyone in the top 40% at UT or UCLA is getting jobs. Don't think you have a chance anywhere else. With those grades, your transfer needs ties.
