Part-time transfers, Can you transfer after the 1st year?

Post by futuretrans » Mon Jul 28, 2014 12:30 pm

Does anybody know if yoy have to be a 1L or if any schools accept transfers without having first completed their full 1st year?

Thanks.

I am not sure if I'm completely understanding your question, but it seems as if you are asking if you can apply to transfer before the end of your first year.

Yes, you can apply to some schools as an 'Early Action' transfer after the completion of your first semester. It is often the case that your acceptance is conditioned upon maintaining your grade for the remainder of the year. This depends on the school, so you should research their transfer deadlines and whether they have an 'Early Action' option when you are going through the application process.
