UT Transfer Possibility
Top 45% SMU/UH; Moot Court; Mock Trial Tournament Finalist; Secondary Journal
Is it even worth a shot? I know UT took a big transfer class last year.

Re: UT Transfer Possibility
I know a few transfers pretty well, and each of them was within the top 25% at their old school (all but one were in the top 15%). That being said, that's like 7 or 8 people out of 40 or so. The app fee is only 70 bucks and it's not like it could somehow hurt you.

Also if you're going to do it, apply ASAP. OCI bidding happens in 3 or 4 weeks I believe and it would defeat the point of transferring if you missed the deadline to submit for OCI.

Re: UT Transfer Possibility
I was top 5% at a ttt and was accepted almost on the spot. I know people from other ttt's, but all in the top 15% I think. I know of a girl who went to a similarly ranked school as UH/SMU and got in being in the top third her 1l year. Know a girl from Tulane that was like top 20-25% I think.

Re: UT Transfer Possibility
I'm interested in this thread as well. I hate that there's no status checker at UT...
