Just got grades -- Need advice on where to apply
Ended in the Top 6% of a T45-55 with a 3.87.
I was Top 1% after first semester, but my little sister was diagnosed with cancer second semester which led to my missing several classes, etc.
Schools I'm interested in applying:
Stanford
Columbia
NYU
Penn
Berkeley
Michigan
Duke
Cornell
UCLA
Schools that have already admitted me:
Georgetown
USC
Texas
Which of the schools I'm interested in are worth me applying to? Appreciate any advice/input!

Goal is big law.
In terms of location:
1. L.A.
2. NY
I'm from the Midwest originally, but went to undergrad in Texas and 1L in California.

Blanket the T14 for safety tho.
Awesome, thanks! Any input on USC v. UCLA in LA market?

Interesting. I have a half ride at my current schoolbrotherdarkness wrote:I don't know much about the two schools other than anecdata: a few of my fellow SA's are from UCLA, but none are from USC. What's your scholarship situation like at your current school? I'd apply to UCLA as a backup for negotiation purposes if you're not on a full ride, but I don't know that I'd be willing to take on the extra debt for UCLA. It's a strong regional school, but I don't know how transfers fare at UCLA. Perhaps some other posters can chime in with some better info in that regard.Heming123 wrote:brotherdarkness wrote:Berkeley should be at the top of your list. Perfect. Genuinely appreciate it!brotherdarkness wrote:Apply broadly (T14 + UCLA/USC should suffice) to play it safe. Then come back when the cards have been dealt and we'll help you play your hand.
