Mercer to Georgia State, UGA, or stay put? Forum

Anyone know about best job opportunities in Georgia based on the following:

I'm >10% with extra curricular stuff, prior work experience, federal level internship this summer, and a decent scholarship. Accepted at UGA and GSU, but I don't know if moving is the right thing, since I can't quantify OCI prospects, or future class rank. Also, I have a good shot for law review at my old school, but that is unknown so far. I'm undecided on career path, but Big Law would be welcome of course.

Just from a quick lawschooltransparency search it doesn't look like it would be worth it to transfer. I mean the employment prospects are actually worse for Georgia State, and only slightly better for UGA. You're top 10% with a shot at LR? I say stay put. Also definitely not worth losing your scholarship for IMO.

Edit: Maybe just use the transfers as bait to try and increase your current scholarship.

Also, $ would basically wash, since GSU and UGA are cheap.

Ah fair enough. Can't say I've done much research on any of these schools TBH. Just basing what I said off employment data.

If price will be roughly equal, definitely transfer to UGA. Your biglaw/fedclerk prospects will increase and UGA's OCI will be larger/better than Mercer's.

Given the options I assume you have GA ties? I also thought UGA requires full 1L grades before extending acceptances.
