I'm at a small school in a small state ranked somewhere over 100. Top 10% after first semester. Not feeling great about this round of finals.
I've been accepted to Boston U (deposit deadline is tomorrow) and have other apps pending. Deferred at GULC which is the highest school applied to.
I have a military/government background and hope to go DA/AG/JAG route after graduation.
Would a transfer from a school where I will pay less than 60k total to attend be worth it to attend a tier 1 school with six figures of debt for just the two years there? I have a good summer gig and an AG externship lined up for fall.
When is a transfer not worth it? Forum

i wouldn't. your career goals aren't as "prestige-sensitive" as others, but they're still pretty hard to get and might not hire you until after you graduate so i wouldn't want to go through that with $150k+ staring me in the face.
