I am in the top 5-10% at my Midwestern (not Chicago) school ranked 25-30. I have a full-tuition scholarship.
I got into GULC EA. I thought I wanted to go into patent law (CS background), and have a big law SA on the west coast doing IP work. However, now I think I want to go into criminal law.
Questions: Should I stay at my current school? I will have around 40k in loans (and it has no loan forgiveness)
Should I pay the deposit for GULC EA and apply to other T-14 schools in the summer?
If I only get into GULC, is it worth it to go there (if I really want to pursue a criminal prosecutor/public defender career)?
Thanks for any advice!

Re: Is Transferring Worth It?
I'm paying the GULC deposits, because it's second on my list of places I'd like to transfer, and using my EA acceptance for whatever leverage I can come regular cycle when I apply to HLS.
I think, even if you don't get into/don't want to attend any other T14 school, matriculating at GULC will most likely provide both better short-term gains (OCI and post-grad employment), which also would beget better long-term gains as a result, than your current school. My two cents!
