GULC EA Question

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Mar 14, 2014 3:23 pm

I know the GULC EA deadline is quickly approaching. I have a 3.9 from a T50 school which should put me somewhere in the top 5-10% range.

I feel like I am a very competitive candidate for EA but I don't think I will be able to get a law professor to write me a LOR before the deadline. Would it be possible to send in the app without a law school LOR?
Should I call GULC and let them know that my LOR will be a few weeks delayed and try to speak to someone in admissions?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, have a great weekend everyone! :D

I'm inclined to say that they're going to tell you to just apply regular decision, especially given that the application has been live since the first week of february.

OP again. Will I also be hurt by sending in my application so close to the deadline?

Thanks again and happy St. Patty's weekend!

It won't hurt you. However, they also won't extend the deadline for you. The deadline is tomorrow, which means come Monday they will begin looking at applications. They usually take 3 or 4 weeks to get their EA decisions sent out. Acceptance is by mail, deferment by email.

Have you sent in the GULC transfer certification form that had to be filled out by your registrar? If not, then you wouldn't be able to get by tomorrow. Apply regular session.
