can we go back and pretend that you just assumed you'd be EIC because you're so awesome? because that would be a way better thread

So could you transfer the MBA part or would you just ditch it?

Snappy today, huh? Career goals? How does your T3 place in the area of law you wish to practice?Anonymous User wrote:JD/MBA...On law review while doing MBA between 1L and 2L years. Already interviewed for EIC.
Now to my original question?

I guess I don't think being EIC of LR is enough of a boost to stay at a school that you're not happy with otherwise. But I suppose it also depends on where you want to practice and what you want to do and how much you're paying now/would pay at GW and all that good stuff.

I am not sure... I would inform GW, but would likely leave it off resume.brotherdarkness wrote:If offered EIC before you leave, can you include that on your resume? (idk how this particular thing would work, but transfers could list "invited to LR" on their resume) Any scholarship at your current school? How does your school place in your target market? If you're aiming for DC, have you applied to GULC?Anonymous User wrote:OP here:A. Nony Mouse wrote:So could you transfer the MBA part or would you just ditch it?

I guess my real question is how valuable is being EIC or a managing editor on LR at a TTT v. transferring to GW with possibility of not being on LR at all? I would try and write on of course, however, it is no guarantee.

My opinion: Money is on G'dub without LR, because you can still partake in trial team, moot courts, gain access to firms via OCI that wouldn't even look at, much less attend or request application packets from, your T3. Not to mention that at G'dub you'd have access to every nonprofit and federal government externship known to man to gain experience during the semesters--plus clinics.Anonymous User wrote:I guess my real question is how valuable is being EIC or a managing editor on LR at a TTT v. transferring to GW with possibility of not being on LR at all? The answer is simple. If you're top 5-10% transfer to G'dub, if you're top 5% also try the lower T-14 schools.
