School is curved to a 3.3.

What's your GPA? Grades alone tell us nothing without how many credits they're worth. And what rank does that GPA place you at?

My apologies...not quite sure where I rank in the class, but the GPA is ~3.9.Danger Zone wrote:What's your GPA? Grades alone tell us nothing without how many credits they're worth. And what rank does that GPA place you at?

I came from a T2 (60-80 range) that also curved at 3.3. Had about the same grades as you, applied to GULC EA, and got in. I'd say your chances are good.

Edit: Silly question. I just realize you listed "EA" in your response. This is what I get for speed reading too many casebooks.

Re: Chance at GULC?
I think you're a shoo-in, but I don't want to jinx anything. I got in early action from a TT 50-70 with a 3.90, but curved on a 3.00.
Here's the problem. If you get in, you'll be paying upwards of two thousand dollars in nonrefundable deposits before matriculating. If you kill it again next semester, you should definitely consider transferring higher than GULC. Unfortunately GULC ensures all the payment deadlines are before you see your spring grades i.e. before you know whether you will get into a higher ranked school. I thought of the deposits as insurance just in case my grades fall semester were a fluke, but it is a very expensive insurance plan.
If you know you want to go to GULC, without a doubt apply. If you're unsure, then still apply. If you get in, then you can decide whether it's worth it to cough up the deposits or roll the dice.

Re: Chance at GULC?
I got in with worse grades at a similarly ranked school.
Why settle for GULC? Are you stuck in the area?
