I just got into UT today and asked them about this. As a transfer student I will not be eligible for the first round of oci but there are two rounds. The admissions coordinator told me that as soon as transfer students arrive they set them up with someone from cso to try and get the ball rolling. That is kind of disheartening though.

Not even lottery? I guess that would make sense. Initial schedules are being released on Monday.timmyd wrote:I just got into UT today and asked them about this. FWIW, it's not a matter of being a transfer student, it's a matter of timing. Bids were due July 12. Initial schedules are released on Monday with two opportunities to decline/cancel interviews, each followed by the slots being filled by other lottery picks.

Yea I should have worded that better. I am not eligible because I transferred late in the game. I am not sure if this will effect my decision bc I got into Gtown, UT, and WashU today (haha thats crazy). I am going to one of them.

Why would you transfer to Texas if you want to practice in the northeast? Where is your TT? What are the cost differences between the schools? Do you want biglaw?

I don't know if you'll have much more luck with GULC's EIW. Their student bid deadline was last Wednesday and it looks like they've already sent preliminary interview schedules to the employers for review.

I do not have a target market. I will work wherever there is the best opportunity. I am thinking GULC right now.

Costs are going to be roughly the same, a little more at Gtown bc of col. Paying sticker at both. So it really is just which one? I am not staying at my ttt.

Do you have TX ties? I would probably lean GULC either way.timmyd wrote:Costs are going to be roughly the same, a little more at Gtown bc of col. Paying sticker at both. So it really is just which one? I am not staying at my ttt.
