A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.

Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

Failure to follow these rules will get you outed, warned, or banned.

I went complete a week ago. You should be in good shape because I don't think they start reviewing until Jul 1.

Status checker hasn't loaded in a couple days. Is this the case for anyone else?

It went KaBoom, but they are not going to review files until next week anyway. I think decisions will be issue around July 15th. Or at least that's what the website says.

The status checker servers are down so they can't process anything. They said IT is working to fix it. Also, apparently they won't start looking at applications until after July 4th weekend.

Can someone verify this? Is NU not going to start looking at apps until after this week? Or is this just speculating?

I submitted last Friday. I called yesterday since I never received a confirmation email. They confirmed they received my application so to everyone who has not received an email I wouldn't worry about it. Let's see what happens. Anyone else also applying to UChicago? Just curious...

You should call them. My app was incomplete and I told them where to find my incomplete materials. I was complete in less than an hour.

I am now complete: 7/3. Current Status Date: 6/25.

I don't remember when I went complete.

Probably worth a call...I went complete in less than 24 hours and I even had to hand deliver half of my material since my school didn't release my transcript/letter of good standing until Monday.

I e-mailed them yesterday to ask if they got everything and I got a reply saying that they had all my materials and were processing them. I just thought it was strange that I didn't get a status checker.
