Future 2L Association Titles...Include? Forum

Hello all, have a lil conundrum. Im in the process of transfer apps, and have a question regarding the resume. In April I was elected to Pres of two dif clubs for the coming 2L year. I have done a small amt of work for this so far, but obviously the fall is when the real "duties" begin. While I get this isn't a huge bump in my file, I figure it cant hurt to show some leadership, commitment, etc. Question is, can I include this somehow? Or is it weird/douchey to gloat about a position you hope to vacate by transferring? Thanks!

I definitely understand the resistance here... in the end I decided to include "president-elect," etc to show leadership & experience. I think schools realize that people don't want to burn bridges if transferring doesn't work out.

Thanks, I knew someone out there dealt with this. Did you just include it on the resume? Or were you able to somehow finagle it elsewhere?

Adding on to this, do people think the same advice applies to an expected fall externship on a transfer resume. I have an externship with a federal judge this fall that I think could provide an extra (marginal) bump.
