Need and Merit scholarship for transfers

When you transfer to a higher ranked school such as HYS or MVPB, do they give you any need or merit aid at all? ANybody have personal experience that they got some $$?

Why is this asked so much? In the T14, Georgetown and HYS give you need aid. Nobody else does because they have zero reason to.

There may be situations where they've been convinced to, but I cannot see it happening under any normal circumstances.
