Am I completely screwed? Fall vs. Spring and timing
Background:
I'm currently going to a mid-high T2 and frankly did poorly in terms of transferring during fall. My school doesn't rank you until after spring grades, but based on last years #'s i'm sitting right around top 25%
My question is:
Based on my GPA (and the fact that spring has a higher unit load than fall), it is possible for me to still get into the top 10% with a strong showing (maybe even top 5-7%?) in spring. However, spring grades don't come out until potentially after applications are due. So... what do I do for applications? As is, my GPA is lackluster, so I don't want to get auto rejected by filling out apps early. Of course all of this is based on an assumption I waffle crush spring finals, but for the sake of argument lets assume I do. Let's be clear, I'm not assuming I'm going to kill finals, but I want to know how to approach my applications based on the off chance I fall into the top 10% after spring.
Thoughts?
Also, my school transfer goals would be: Boalt, UCLA, or Davis.

I am responding because I like the phrase 'waffle crush'. Get all your applications together and submitted, the schools won't make decisions until they get your spring grades

Even with a waffle crush, this is looking doubtful. But what do you want us to tell you? Go study your ass off and prove us wrong. Or something.

With a waffle crush, I'm top 10% easy. There were some issues in the fall that I won't have to deal with now, but we'll see how things go. Wish me luck, and thank you for the advice

Still give transfering a shot. I was in the top 30% in a high T3, and was able to transfer into a low T1. I was apart of some student organizations and worked part time throughout 1L. I think that gave me a boost.
