Barely above median T20 -> UT?
Sup. What are my chances for transfering to UT? Im from Texas. Just above median at USC/UMN/GW.
Also a URM (MA). Not sure if that matters for transfering.

My intuition is that even for transferring a small way up, you still need to have top 1/3 grades. It's still possible but if you repeat your performance, probably not.

Re: Barely above median T20 -> UT?
I really don't know what grade range you'd have to be, but I can say that UT usually accepts a very small amount of transfers. But that said, the current 1L class is much smaller than normal (and it really wasn't planned, it just was the result of the drop in applications this past cycle), so they might accept a lot more transfers than normal if they want to balance that class out more with the 2L and 3L class (and the next 1L class, if they can get it back to more normal numbers). (I know their goal for the next 1L class is for it to be closer to it's normal number of around 380 rather than the ~300 number for the current 1L class.) So my advice is try to kill next semester and apply if it makes sense in your particular situation.
