Practical Transfer Questions

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Jan 19, 2013 10:38 am

Hello all;

I'm a 1L in a school ranked 10-14, and i just received grades that will make a strong candidate for transferring to a YHS type school if I can maintain my GPA. I have a few practical questions about transferring so I can get started on my application. I will only be applying to Yale and Harvard for a couple of reasons. Here are my questions:

1. How many recommendations have others uses? I am planning on 3, but if 2 is acceptable I would probably prefer it because I have two strong professors to write and don't know who the third would be at this point.

2. Do I need to use the LSAC website to apply for a transfer?

3. Do I need to use the LSAC accreditation services for the recommendations?

Thanks!

1. I used 2 from law professors. I think I might have thrown in a 3rd from my initial application.

2. Yes. But if I remember correctly there are also a bunch of annoying supplemental forms to get done and I don't know if they get sent through LSAC.

3. Yes.
