No. You should have a pretty good chance at a legal job in Texas at a T4 in the top 2%. Going to GW won't really help you much for Texas, and you'll give up your awesome grades.
T4 @ 2% in the market where you wanna work > GW @ median

I agree. I think you give up a lot by transferring. GW does not have strong enough job placement to justify what you would lose (top grades, law review, staying in your desired market, connections with professors you may have impressed). Check out law school transparency--GW places something like 20% of its graduates into "jobs" the school temporarily funds itself. And then there are a lot of unemployed grads as well. Low ranked schools do have a few successful graduates each year, and it looks likely that you will be one of them if you stay.
I think that you should only consider transferring to a T14 or UT; anything less and you will probably decrease the odds of getting a good job. Congrats on your fantastic performance, by the way.

No. Your prior posts reveal that you're also applying to Texas, SMU & Baylor. Assuming that you want to remain in Texas after law school, then stay put or consider the University of Texas. Are you receiving scholarship money at your current law school ? Is your current law school located in a city where you would like to practice law ? If yes to both questions, then staying at your current school might be your best option.

Thank you for all the great advice!
I do want to stay in the Texas market, so I think yall made some great points. I have thrown out the Georgetown idea, and am sticking with either UT or SMU (since I would prefer to end up working in dallas).

As a GW transfer, unless you want to get involved in DC work, Fed Govt work, or IP; stay put. Transfer to UT if you can, but you're in the market you want to be in, not worth transferring in your case.

I'll revisit this next fall after 3LOL OCI and 3L mass mailing.
I upgraded my job but didn't get in the market I wanted or anything like that. So while transferring may have worked out OK for me, so far, I possibly could've gotten this job upgrade from my old school.
