OCI Double Dipping
I received my early OCI results this week, and like many of the firms I received interviews at.
However, I am planning to accept my transfer spot at a (higher ranked) school with later OCIS. Is it inappropriate to call the firm, explain the switch, and request that if the opportunity is still available to interview?
I do not know if this is quite "double-dipping" because I would not be physically attending two OCIs.
Has anyone dealt with this situation?

Assuming these were preselects, I would contact the firms, explain that you won't be at your old school's OCI because you are transferring, but would love to interview with them in the meantime. They could say, fuck you bid us again at Transfer School; alternatively they might cooperate. Nothing to lose, really.

Also interested in this. I put in my bids at the old school and am letting them know that I am transferring. Will see what happens.

i think you can do this, but just be very upfront about it. if it doesn't work, it doesn't work.
i decided not to attend my old school's OCI, but i can see if you're totally honest about the whole thing that it wouldn't be a bad thing.

Re: OCI Double Dipping
OP: Maybe it would help if you identified the schools (one midwestern law school & one eastern) & shared that the law firm in question is based in the East (I presume).
Regardless, your honesty should create a favorable impression, but most likely you'll have to play by the new school's rules.
