Re: Top 35 to UCLA/USC?

I am ranked in the top ~7% and want to practice in CA. My goal is biglaw.
USC/UCLA's employment numbers do not blow me out of the water and I'm wondering if I would do better staying at my school.
Anyone have thoughts? Anyone have experience with OCI as a transfer?
1. Is your current school U.C. Davis?
2. If not Davis, what state is your current school in?
3. Do you have CA ties?

Re: Top 35 to UCLA/USC?
Pertains to main question:
1. Want to practice in Bay Area or LA?
2. Law Review at either school(s)?
Tangential questions:
3. Scholly at Davis? If so, how much?
4. Scholly at UCLA/USC? If so, how much?

Re: Top 35 to UCLA/USC?
Generally, on TLS, people are going to tell you to go to UCLA/USC. Given that the schools will cost about the same, and you want to practice in LA, it seems like going to UCLA/USC would be a better choice for you.trespass2chattel wrote:I'd probably rather work in LA.
I will likely receive a very small scholarship from Davis. Maybe I can use the USC/UCLA acceptance as leverage.
I will check with USC/UCLA.
If things stay the same, the schools will cost almost the same because I can "likely" live for free or close to it in LA because my family lives there.

Re: Top 35 to UCLA/USC?
Does anyone have any input from a transferring stand point?
Do I need to make this into a poll?
