Thoughts on Cornell or Columbia?

Post by nooblawschooler » Thu Jul 05, 2012 3:05 pm

TTTT Top 5%. CALI awards, invitation to Law Review. Been accepted to Bama, UNC, Tulane.

Saw some TTTT getting into Emory on here and wanted to know thoughts on Cornell or CLS.

Might be too much of a reach. Top 20 UG. Current school consistently has >90% Bar Passage.

Thanks.

Out at columbia. Cornell is probably out but worth the app. Aim for BU, BC, GW, Emory.

Cornell doesnt usually let transfers participate in OCI, especially with an app now.

"Before", not "by", July 11, if I recall correctly since bids may be due on the eleventh of July.

Is the Tier 4 law school located in your target market ?

Columbia is unlikely, in my opinion.

OP: Are you willing to share the name of your current law school ?

Based on my very scant knowledge of your current law school, a Top 14 transfer acceptance is unlikely.

P.S. Since you already have transfer acceptances to Alabama, UNC & Tulane, you might as well try for any others that interest you outside of the Top 14.

I think it is too late in the game for either of these. You will likely be dinged at CLS, and Cornell would not be worth it because you would miss OCI.
