I concur. I am calling it a day, having concluded that absolutely nothing remarkable is going to happen today. That said, I really want to adopt a puppy, so I think I am going to look into that. At least a puppy will 1) love me all the time unconditionally, 2) give me tons of attention, 3) still look cute when it pees on my shoes.

Yale has puppies for stress-relieving play time in the library during finals period.

And, as long as I'm asking personal questions, did either of you get into and deposit at Harvard?

Email acceptances for both of you, both T14s?
Very nice, congratulations.
I assume this means game over for Yale.

Probably around top 5%. I have a strong interest in academia, so I'm definitely planning on accepting. And I, too, will be withdrawing from Harvard tonight.TatteredDignity wrote:I was, my mistake. And here I thought my awesome 250 would get me in, despite my non-aristocratic pedigree!

Thank you for the congrats, and good luck to everyone in here. It's been so helpful sharing data, keeping us from going crazy in our own little bubbles.
Stats for me are also top ~5%.
Just sent of an email to HLS and hoping that frees something up STAT.

Re: Yale Transfer Fantasy Land 2012
Law schools are extremely similar in terms of learning and testing methodology, and the quality of the student bodies in similarly ranked schools should be similar. Still, given the results from H and Y, we clearly see that T14 is an exclusive club and H/Y seem to believe that there is a huge chasm between T14 and non-T14 schools (10% in Cornell or GULC would easily beat 2% in T20).
This is another indication that this profession is all about PRESTIGE.

Re: Yale Transfer Fantasy Land 2012
For H, at least, this philosophy in transfer admissions seems to be new. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with their having a new dean of admissions. In years past, it wasn't this unbalanced in favor of the T14.lockiller wrote:Law schools are extremely similar in terms of learning and testing methodology, and the quality of the student bodies in similarly ranked schools should be similar.
