Re: NYU Transfers
I think it is more likely the updates have to do with some kind of action on the file that may or may not be related to your order of merit.

Re: NYU Transfers

Re: NYU Transfers
I imagine it depends on your admit date, because mine was yesterday.etk2103 wrote:for those who have been admitted, when is the tuition deposit due for NYU?

Re: NYU Transfers
It is two weeks from the day they admit you (the day the status changes to the tuition deposit received box, even though you don't get the letter for a couple more days).FlanSolo wrote:I imagine it depends on your admit date, because mine was yesterday.etk2103 wrote:for those who have been admitted, when is the tuition deposit due for NYU?

I really feel like too many people had the 7/16 update for it to mean anything good.canesfan1986 wrote:Anyone else get the tuition box today? I haven't yet....
I am also 7/4-->7/6-->7/16

Re: NYU Transfers
Canes, your theory on page 18 was well-articulated, and I suspect you are correct. The trend certainly seems that if you go UR on a date, you either get the "tuition deposit received" (aka de facto acceptance) that same day or the very next day.
For people with 3 status changes, like myself, I have a feeling we're screwed. At the very least, we prob are on some unofficial waitlist that gets case aside until the deposit deadlines. Thus, our applications could push into August. If that's the case, frankly, I'd rather be rejected than forced to wait 2 weeks *just in case* they don't fill their quota, bc even if they don't, this unofficial wait list is probably pretty large.
NYU, just admit me or reject me already...

Re: NYU Transfers
Holy mercy - 'tuition deposit received' box just showed up. My status still shows U/R 7/12 also. I'll hold off on the calling the parents for now.
Stats:
T80's - 4.09 GPA (likely #1 or #2)
EDIT:
My status updates were 7/2 UR -> 7/12 UR -> 7/17 'tuition deposit received' box

Pre-congrats. So it looks like the 7/12'ers are going to get a box today. And apparently I drew a middle finger on my PS.InSport wrote:Holy mercy - 'tuition deposit received' box just showed up. My status still shows U/R 7/12 also. I'll hold off on the calling the parents for now.

I wonder what the prognosis is for those of us still on our first U/R.PrayingforHYS wrote:For people with 3 status changes, like myself, I have a feeling we're screwed. People with the tuition box, I am sure that means you are in. But keep trying to log in to the admitted students page. I was able to do it within a few hours of getting the box.

Re: NYU Transfers
Miles, ETK - I am trying to log in to the admitted students page, but it keeps taking me to a page that says "Bad Request - Request Header Too Long." Are either of you having that problem right now? I definitely put my LSAC number and birthday into the fields correctly.
