Transfer Timeline?
I can't believe there's no bullet about that in the sticky. When should things be done? References, personal statements, etc...

Do you also depend on internet forums to learn how to dress yourself in the morning?
I would guess a good time to start is before the deadlines. That's just a guess though, unconfirmed by science.

Boom, roasted. Either peruse the forums or just look at their info conveniently aggregated on LSAC.org.wiglaf1228 wrote:Do you also depend on internet forums to learn how to dress yourself in the morning?

Re: Transfer Timeline?
My timeline looked like this:
Jan-Feb - make final decision to apply to transfer, collect letters of rec.
Feb-March - apply to GULC EA
March-April - nothing
May - ace finals (hopefully), finalize app list, get profs ready to re-send letters of rec.
end of May - send out apps
Dunno if this is the best way to go about it, but works for me I think. Some of it is screwed up by the GULC EA application, so yours will probably differ if you didn't apply there already.

Mine was similar to this. Not sure why you list "get profs ready to re-send letters of rec" though. Did you have them send their letters directly to GULC? If not, then they should already be registered with LSAC and there would be nothing left to do with them. I waited until I got grades back to officially apply everywhere (I had all the materials ready by that time); I was worried that my grades would drop and I didn't want to waste a bazillon dollars applying to schools in that event.Xferr wrote:My timeline looked like this:

I wish I had that luxury. We get our grades back too late for that.quiver wrote:I waited until I got grades back to officially apply everywhere (I had all the materials ready by that time); I was worried that my grades would drop and I didn't want to waste a bazillon dollars applying to schools in that event.
