Technically Stanford is ideal - have motives for going there beyond "you're top ranked!" (want to work in Bay Area, mother currently works in SF, extended family, and am extremely interested in their internet/technology center & program generally). Obviously won't know spring semester grades for awhile, but interim assignments went well and I've buddied up to some professors who would write good LORs.
Current rank: estimated 13 or 14/240
Thanks!

Depends on what you mean by T20ish. If you are at USC or above, you might have a shot. Anything below that is the same as a T30/T35 and you don't have much of a chance unless you are above top 5% after next semester.

Very low, but not a complete waste of money.
