Transfer opportunities
Currently at a T4 in Texas in the top 25%, assuming I could maybe make it close to top 15%, what are my chances at some of these in/out of state schools?
Vanderbilt-I know probably an autoding
Boston U/Boston C
U Houston
South Texas(Houston)

If you make top 15%...
0%
20-30%/20-25%
20-40% depending on your T4's location in Texas
re: south texas, why? it is also a T4... I'm guessing over 80% chance...
I'm just guessing...but good luck.

Re: Transfer opportunities
well if it is SMU it'll probably have the same percentage as UHouston, maybe less since they take fewer transfers than Houston.

no I'm thinking I either want to move to Houston, or up north. Currently at TxTech and want to move back home to Houston. Is there time to ask for recommendation after grades are out in late May or should my recommenders already be ready before then?

I've got friends at tech...
You have a solid shot at transferring to south texas...but I don't think Tech --> South Texas is a smart move. You have a solid shot because no one transfers to T4 schools. They always transfer up. Therefore, the people transferring out of T4 schools need replacements or the school loses money. They are much more likely to accept transfers easier - almost doesn't matter how you do first semester.
