I contacted them and they thanked me as well. It should be considered in a positive lightcrossarmant wrote:Just had this issue. Sent them an updated resume of mine after getting my summer employment. They replied back with an enthusiastic email thanking me on updating the info... but yeah, who knows... let's hope it helps on the app.jarofsoup wrote:Found out what I am doing for the summer...should I send an updated resume? I called the said email or updated resume would be ok.
I feel like a resume is more professional what do you folks think? Plus I reformatted my resume and career services made it all snazzy.

Looks like it... Nothing yet for me either. I don't think we'll see any action on this for a few weeks.canesfan1986 wrote:So do we only have one person so far with a status date change?

Oh well. I just get the feeling the online status is not going to change any more. We will probably be hearing directly of the decision. Because otherwise at least some of us should have gone to "Under Review" by now?

How many of you guys who applied EA wrote both essays? Thought it'd be a no brainer to write both?

They allow an extra statement but it is not emphasized, if even mentioned, in any of the transfer information. The only reason I knew about it was because of the spot to attach it on the LSAC application. I really wouldn't worry about it if you didn't write one. The email I received after my LSAC application was received gave a list of what they wanted for transfer applications and the optional essay is not mentioned.3|ink wrote:Both? Though a white male, I wrote a diversity statement discussing the economic diversity I'd bring. I grew up in appalachian poverty and seeing how as Georgetown has one of the lowest rates of low-income applicants in the nation, I felt like economic diversity could really mean something.IsTheFatLadySinging wrote:How many of you guys who applied EA wrote both essays? I was thinking about updating my resume. Curious as to what people think this will do. Does it actually help to inform them that you are, in fact, employed?

Yeah, I'm gonna send it over. I figure it can only help for the school to know that you are employed and not aspie enough to not be able to land anything.

I just spoke with someone in admissions and they just started reviewing applications recently. Just a heads up for everyone.

That is good to know. I am not even so sure any more of transferring out, though.

How come? I spoke to an attorney who graduated top 10% from my school and was editor of the law review and he told me, if I had the chance, to "f%#€<\! do it in a heartbeat." He has a nice biglaw job too, so my resolve has been strengthened.

Mostly because I have a very nice assured job and also family reasons ... Ideally I want to graduate from a top school and take that same job, but now I'm thinking might as well keep the money and continue. But I haven't made up my mind. May be a t5 admission will change things

If you've an assured job, then you'd be almost foolish to turn down the money and leave. If you do get in, use it to negotiate more money from your school. The advantage of transferring to GULC would be job opportunities, yet if you already have one and enjoy where you are, don't bother transferring.2transferornot wrote:Mostly because I have a very nice assured job and also family reasons ... Re: Georgetown EA Applicants
What are my odds?
- T4
- A+, A, A, B+ (highest grade in torts, civ pro, and legal methods)
- 3.83 - 5/227
- Currently research assistant with first semester torts professor (he approached me)
- this coming summer: clerk Fed. Dist. Ct.
- 4 very strong LOR's, all from law profs who basically said they would be stupid not to take me
- very GULC centered PS
I am not sure if my softs will matter at all, but I think I put together a strong application. Any idea what my odds might be?
