Teetering T1

1L here...just curious for any insight. For a variety of reasons I'm considering transferring from my school ranked 57th-ish to a school (perhaps two) ranked between 40-45. Not a large jump, I know, but factors such as closer to home/legal market I wish to pursue, closer to s.o., etc. are making this an attractive potential maneuver.

I know it's an impossible numbers game, but does anybody have thoughts or experience on what percentage I'd need to have a good shot?
10%? 15%?

Varies by school and the value of the move varies by region. ASU takes more transfers than peer schools, for example. Call their admissions office and ask what they look for.

It doesn't really matter anyway right? You are going to do as well as you can and the chips will fall where they may.

Depends upon the specific law schools & upon your specific reasons for desiring to transfer.
