I would appreciate advice on whether I should transfer to NYU.
I am top 10% at a T25 school and I was invited to law review. I really enjoyed my first year at my current school and made great friends and started forging relationships with a few fantastic professors. I also just got my list of interviews for the NYC OCI at current school and I received 14 interview offers, 6 of which are at V15 firms. I really want to work in NYC after graduation, and obviously NYU is the better ranked school. But am I giving up too much to leave a school where I'm near the top of my class, on law review, and guaranteed to have great contacts upon graduation?
Thanks for the advice!

Does NYU have anything to offer that would make you think you'd have a better experience there in the next two years?ms11 wrote:I would appreciate advice on whether I should transfer to NYU.

I was in a similar position and decided to go with NYU, but I'm super excited about all of NYU's particular strengths (int'l law, legal philosophy, tax, business law, public interest), and my old school didn't have much to offer in those areas.

With the interviews you got, I would stay. Most people would leave to take advantage of the better OCI at NYU, but you already have quite a few interviews. Also, if you have any clerkship aspirations they would probably take a hit if you transferred.

Does sound like you've got some excellent interviews.
I don't know about the last statement, above, though.
