Definitely; I'm quite excited. I'm just surprised that there was no dedicated thread for it (like Gtown).nola34 wrote:really quick turnaround from GW

no dedicated, but is part of non-t14 thread. you could make this the dedicated thread though, seeing as quite a few people were accepted.burkinafaso wrote:Definitely; I'm quite excited. I read something that implied that we'll get access to our email addresses (if that's what you meant) after they get our $500.ajmax8 wrote:anyone know where school email is? can't find it.

that's for the undergrad. There's a separate email for the law school, which i don't think is setup for us yet. nevermind.ran12 wrote:go to my.gwu.eduajmax8 wrote:yea, received an email saying they got it and everything. still looking....burkinafaso wrote:I read something that implied that we'll get access to our email addresses (if that's what you meant) after they get our $500.ajmax8 wrote:anyone know where school email is? can't find it.

Re: GW transfer?
Just got their email last night while I was in class and walked straight out of it. Damn summer school! I walked in today on my way home to drop off the seat deposit. Had they emailed the acceptance few hours earlier, I would have saved a boat load of $ from application fees for applications I sent out yesterday.
Oh well, Im still excited to get out of TTT.

July 8 as well.
I'm just curious, is anyone here going to have to take some classes with the incoming 1L class? My law school offers Con Law during the 2L year so if I attend I'll be taking Con Law with the 1Ls.

I will be taking Property, Con law and Criminal law with incoming. I was a PT at my old school. For the person that asked above..I went complete June 22nd and got email yesterday. So the turn around was pretty quick.
I guess I got lucky in the sense that my school didn't wait for the class rank to come out before sending out letter of good standing. We don't get class rank until mid July, but GW thankfully accepted me based off just the GPA.

Re: GW transfer?
Hi Birdman, I'm in the same boat as you. MSU was the first law school that got back to me with a decision and I was accepted as well. I just paid my enrollment deposit today, and I still haven't heard back from GW and the other law schools I have applied too.Birdman wrote:Sent my app in about a month ago, my school finally finished ranking people and sent out my documents this week. I got accepted to MSU and have, I believe, two weeks to accept their offer. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for GW to review an app once it is complete? My guess is I will go complete sometime next week and then only have days before my MSU deposit is due, and I believe I have to withdraw my other applications then. (I informed GW about the timeframe)
I certainly won't mind going to MSU because I want to be closer to my family in Michigan, but obviously GW is way better and I would rather go there, even if that means not being as close to home as I would like.
I spoke with Caroline (sp?) from the admissions office. She told me, once applications are complete than they should have a decision in a week. It may take longer tho.
I'm from Michigan too. I wonder...if I end up practicing in MI, at what point is it better to stick with the regional school? I don't know if you have ever thought about this, but...when is it worth going to an out of state higher ranked tier 2 school instead of the lower ranked tier 2 school like MSU? I hear a lot of people in previous threads say that once you hit the tier 2 mark, it no longer matters what tier 2 school you go too. If you have any input on this matter, please do share. Thanks.

Re: GW transfer?
I was having the same issue. I'm sure they have it, they just haven't put it in the system. I had to call them and make them look for it in my file, and now they have finally updated it on my status. My application is finally complete. I think they are just very busy with all the applications and documents that come in daily.SpencerPratt wrote:Still incomplete/waiting for letter of good standing.

Do you mind if I ask you what your GPA and class rank was? I'm curious to know if I'm at all close or near it. Just wondering if my application is atleast competitive.swords wrote:I will be taking Property, Con law and Criminal law with incoming. I was a PT at my old school. Not a problem - I had a 3.5 from T3.
