It's kind of an awesome "tough decision" to have to make, though. Especially now that I just got into the school I really wanted pre-1L.starchinkilt wrote:Congrats! Talk about having to make a tough decisionkeg411 wrote:Also, IN at NU via e-mail. Holy crap, I <3 my cycle.

Yeah, I'm also really grateful to get into these schools now after my hopes were dashed last year. They have an insane deposit deadline as well for OCI (tomorrow at midnight, which, even if I was 100% NU, would be impossible). Trying to get around it so I can buy a few days to think about it.starchinkilt wrote:Yeah, I'm also really grateful to get into these schools now after my hopes were dashed last year. ETA: working on this with admissions. Normally their date looks like 7/21, which would be plenty of time to decide between NU and Mich.
ETA2: That's off-campus recruiting with the tight deadline. Apparently I'm blind .

Did anyone who got into CLS have a permanent mailing address on the East Coast?

Don't worry, I've been so excited when I've received acceptances that I've misread almost everything but congrats you're in at first. That seems like a decent amount of time to decide. Are you going to go visit either place? You really can't go wrong with any of those schools.keg411 wrote: They have an insane deposit deadline as well for OCI (tomorrow at midnight, which, even if I was 100% NU, would be impossible). Wow, awesome cycle for you, keg411, Congrats. I know if I wanted to work in the NY/NJ area I would choose NU over Michigan if Cornell isn't possible because of past OCI deadlines. A guy I went to high school with just graduated from NU and there was a crazy amount of NY area firm jobs that were available to people, he said.

At any point is not being dinged from a school (say, Michigan) actually good news?
Many acceptances from MI have gone out, as have some rejections. I have received neither.
Does this indicate placement in a Maybe/Wait and see who goes to HYSCCN pile?

Re: T14 Transfer Status Change Thread
Hey, so sorry to sneak in here, but I'm actually in at NU and Cornell (not Michigan, keg411 is AWESOME), and am pretty sure it's pretty cut and dry that i should go to northwestern yeah? Cornell absolutely will not let us go to their August Job Fair in NYC which is essentially their OCI (their actually OCI is tiny on campus, 20-25 firms). I'm excited to hear that Nwestern opens up possibilities for NY, that's where I'd like to be next summer. Do you think you could elaborate more on your high school friend's experience in a pm? I really appreciate your time, I know this is asking a lot. Many, many thanks!trbenton13 wrote:Wow, awesome cycle for you, keg411, Congrats. Re: T14 Transfer Status Change Thread
Just got into NU...can't tell you how excited I am!!!! NU has always been my dream school. This is my first T-14 acceptance also. Yippee
Work experience apparently does matter because I am ~top 10% at a mid-T2 school, but I have significant work experience. So, to those of you with slightly less impressive stats, there is hope.

Ug, so I couldn't get a 2nd prof recommendation until way late. Penn and NYU were willing to look at my app beforehand, and just added in the 2nd one, but Columbia pretty much told me not to bother applying without the 2nd one. So it delayed the whole app until the very beginning of July, rather than mid-June as I planned.

To add to the data (and to tell someone, since I don't talk about this stuff at work), in at Columbia via email at 4:33. Went complete 7/7.

Looks like it means one week of completion.ms2010 wrote:I could use some shockingly good news... hopefully the 7/7 date DOES mean something.
So basically CLS seems to go like this:
PENDING (2 weeks) COMPLETE (one week) DECISION

Yeah - seems right. Although considering I haven't gotten decisions anywhere else on the normal timeline... I'm assuming this will be another.keg411 wrote:Looks like it means one week of completion.ms2010 wrote:I could use some shockingly good news... hopefully the 7/7 date DOES mean something.

Approximately top 5% at Fordham (they give us a 10% bucket but no more info than that).kaiser wrote:May I ask stats of those who got into CLS today?
