Transfer chances gone?
T4 school median gpa: 2.5-2.7 (80)
So far:
Property 90
Civ Pro 81
Torts 88
Crim 87
Con 83
Ks 83
Do I have a chance at transfering to any schools in NYC? Cardozo? I really wanted Fordham, but I'm guessing that's shot.
Edit: rank = top 18%, 27/154.

Re: Transfer chances gone?
I'm guessing maybe 10-15 percent but am basing that off last year. I want anything in NYC and was considering CA if I could get Hastings.
Already applied to:
Cardozo
Brooklyn
St. John's
Fordham (was my goal)
NYLS

Surely top 10-15% at wherever you're at is better than an NYLS transfer.

I have a question did you do any 0L prep? Like read GTM or Leews?

Re: Transfer chances gone?
Apply broadly to the TTT and lower TT schools in the areas you want to work. Put a lot of work into your apps. You might be able to snag something even at Top 20%. Good luck.

Re: Transfer chances gone?
Thank you. I will be applying broadly. Just have been freaking out a bit. I thought I did much better than I ended up doing. I have 3 law professor's LORs if that helps.

Re: Transfer chances gone?
you should add Hofstra to you list; it's slightly better than NYLS.

Re: Transfer chances gone?
Just got the rank back, 27/154, top 17.5% (or in the top 18% rounded up).
Good enough for St. John's with recommendations from a former adcomm member/professor? NYLS? Hofstra? Cardozo? Brooklyn? Rutgers? What about USF (CA), Hastings (applied there a couple times before, and showed serious interest in the school)?
Also considering Seattle U (grew up in the Pacific NW).
3 strong LoRs from professors. Legit reasons for moving to either CA or NYC (USF - undergrad in CA), spouse accepted to St. John's undergrad for NYC. Also want to practice/live in NYC.

Re: Transfer chances gone?
I have not heard from any yet, other than Brooklyn. They put me on a waiting list (I didn't know they did that for transferring). Otherwise, I'm dying here hoping I get a bite somewhere. I did tailor each PS towards the school, and I am crossing my fingers I get a call/e-mail/letter before the weekend, as I hate this wait.
